We had a fabulous time at the Brisbane Good Food and Wine Show last year, buying up big and seeing George Calombaris and Gary Mehigan in the Celebrity Theatre.
This years Good Food and Wine Show is on from Friday 9th of November to Sunday 11th of November at the Brisbane Convention Centre, and celebrates the best in good food, fresh produce and great cooking.
The 2012 Celebrity Theatre will feature your favourite tv chefs up close and personal sharing their passion for food and cooking up a storm. Chefs include Maggie Beer, George Calombaris, Manu Feildel, Matt Moran and Ainsley Harriott.
Other highlights of the show include (as well as many others!):
- Riedel Decanter Wine Bar Sessions: This year Riedel brings to the show three fantastic wine class options; the Riedel Decanter Bar, Riedel Glass Tasting Class and Riedel Wine Theatre. At the Decanter Bar pick you wines and let some of Australia’s leading sommeliers show you everything your drop has to offer. At the Glass Tasting learn how every glass highlights different wine characteristics, and explore rare and vintage wines or uncover new boutique labels at the Wine Theatre – all under the guidance of a panel of fine wine experts.
- Cheese Alley presented by Kurrajong Kitchen: Meet some of Australia’s leading cheese makers who will be sampling an array of delicious cheese. This feature has been developed based on feedback from visitors, so is sure to be one of the busiest areas of the Show! You can taste your way through a variety of cheese styles – from fresh, soft white and washed rind styles, to cheddar and blue.
- Lifestyle FOOD Chef’s Table: LifeStyle FOOD presents an exclusive foodie experience at this year’s Good Food and Wine Show
that is not to be missed. Designed for lovers of delicious food, specialty wines and a desire to learn from some of the world’s best chefs, LifeStyle FOOD Chef’s Table is a treat for the senses. Each session will introduce guests to a delicious chef-designed tasting menu of three dishes with perfectly paired premium wines. Your chef will take you on a culinary journey highlighting where
the produce has been sourced from, how to prepare each dish and how the flavours and aromas match with different wine varieties. Questions are welcome throughout the session and each guest will leave with a generous LifeStyle FOOD goodie bag. Chefs include Miguel Maestre, Anna Gare and Maggie Beer.
- Skinnygirl Cocktails Beauty Bar: New for 2012, the Skinnygirl Cocktails Beauty Bar will be the place to be seen! Make sure
you stop by to sample the delicious range of cocktails on offer. You could be there a while, so the best part of all…if you purchase any product, you’ll be invited to chill out in the exclusive Pamper Zone for a FREE express manicure or pedicure! Perfect for re-invigorating those tired hands and feet before heading back out to continue sampling the delights of the Show.
