Ole Restaurant Revisited: Ole Fiesta Menu

Finding a great place to eat when you are needing to book for a large group can be quite daunting. Ole Restaurant at South Bank makes everything incredibly easy with their various set menus, which we were invited to sample recently along with other bloggers and foodies.

The Spanish way of eating is all about sharing, small plates of tapas and larger raciones are ideal to pick at whilst you socialise with your friends or family.

Ole has a variety of Fiesta menus (which can be located on their website under the Functions tab), ranging in price from $38 to $53.50 per person. There is even a breakfast Fiesta Menu available on weekends for $25 per person.

We were lucky enough to be able to share in the largest menu available, which had six varieties of tapas and five raciones (larger plates).

Jamon Serrano with sourdough

Tapas

Croqueta de Jamon (jamon serrano fritters)

Pulpo con Chorizo (grilled octopus, chorizo, fresh lime, parsley and tomato)

Queso Frito (fried manchego with tomato jam)

Bolitas de Garbanzo (chickpea fritters with hot chilli sauce)

Calamares Y Chanquetes (crisp calamari and whitebait with aioli)

Patatas Bravas (crisped spiced potatoes)

Raciones

Albondigas (beef and chorizo meatballs)

Gambas con Jamon (local prawns wrapped in jamon, fried with garlic)

Ensalada De Tomate Y Manchego (tomato, rocket, walnuts and manchego)

Brochetas de Pollo (grilled chicken, capsicum and onion skewers with saffron pilaf)

Mejillas de Carne (beef cheeks braised in pedro ximenez, green pea and radish salad)

Ole Restaurant is also happy to cater a menu based on any dietary requirements (gluten free and vegetarian) or requests. Desserts can be added to the menu for $5 per person.

Fiesta Menus are available for bookings of 10 people and over. High tapas tables are usually kept for these bookings. There are two seating times: 5-6pm and 8-9pm. Beverage packages are also available.
